AFTER SCHOOL
Serves elementary & middle school age youth through a variety of enrichment activities during out of school hours.

School Year programming includes:
Homework help & tutoring, dance & drama, recreation, and
computer technology. In addition, students participate in the IMPACT program which engages children and families in community service projects.
Summer Camp programming:
A free, five week summer program from 8:30-1:30 July through August. Breakfast & lunch are provided. Activities include cultural, academic, and physical enrichment. Activities are provided at different sites depending on age and location.
YOUTH DEVELOPMENT
Provides a range of enrichment activities to youth ages 5 - 21.

Entrepreneurship Program:
Youth ages 12-17 complete a training program which assists them in developing and operating a small business enterprise.
Girls Scouts:
The Girl Scouts are providing their "Wings to the Future" program at all after school sites. Participating girls develop and expand their decision-making skills so that they have the tools to make good choices and more effectively manage the pressures of growing into healthy, happy, and competent women.
IMPACT:
Elementary school age youth participate in a curriculum that focuses on enhancing their knowledge of self, family and community. Participants engage in quarterly community service projects.
Rites of Passage:
Programming is provided to middle school age youth with a focus on healthy self development and life skills preparation.
Conflict Resolution/Mediation Program:
Elementary and Middle School youth are taught skills in how to resolve and deal with conflict. In addition, youth will be trained as peer-mediators. Mediation is used as an alternative to punishment and teaches young people how to deal with conflict in a constructive rather than a destructive way.
Place of Purpose:
Serves youth ages 10-21 through a curriculum designed to build life, communication, and social skills. In addition, mentoring is provided by professionals who provide one on one mentoring, career development, and participation in community service activities.

PARENT EDUCATION
Services provide support and education for adult heads of households and parents.

Kinship Care Support Group:
Support group for persons who are raising children of family members. Offers support in accessing and coordinating with vital community services, networking with other kinship care providers, and special events.
Parent Education:
Classes are provided which offer assistance in parenting which includes: understanding child development, developing healthy discipline, cooking nutritiously, and building support networks. In addition, participants are provided tickets to special family events and activities.
CASE MANAGEMENT
Provides one on one, individualized consultation leading to youth and family self-sufficiency and the support of safe and healthy families.

INFORMATION, REFERRAL AND LINKAGES
Provides information about, and referral and linkage to services which are provided outside the scope of Family Center services.

Adult Education:

GED preparation and testing, career development and advancement, and computer technology training.

SHARE & Emergency Food:
Provided based on an individualized needs assessment.
Career Advancement Network:
Provides individualized support for career advancement which includes the following services: Career planning, job coaching, and advanced job placement ; Job training programs; Computer Training/Literacy and Enhancement ; Personal Counseling, stress reduction & emergency assistance; Money Management; and Family Activities.
Eligibility requirements include the following:
1. Currently employed at least part-time.
2. Live in Philadelphia
3. Not enrolled in any other employment program funded by the PA Department of Public Welfare
Working to Unite Families:
An employment and family enhancement program designed to meet the needs of parents and families referred from the Department of Human Services and other family service agencies. The program's goal is to enhance and strengthen families and encourage reunification through the provision of employment and social services.
North Central Victims Services:
Serves, educates and supports victims of crime in the 22nd and 23rd Police Districts. Provides services to address the emotional, financial, social and legal needs of crime victims, witnesses and their families. Acts as a neighborhood resource to achieve a safer North Central Philadelphia community.
